Once in a lifetime opportunity to hike
Taal Volcano
Philippine Adventures offers you a once in a life time
opportunity to hike Taal Volcano - the smallest active
volcano in the world! One of the most visited tourist spots
in the Philippines, this geological wonder is actually a
volcano within a lake within a volcano.
Enjoy a private pick up from your house or hotel in Metro
Manila at 7.00 am before driving two hours south in a
luxury minibus
to Tagaytay. You can stop along the the way for a coffee at
Starbucks before reaching the lookout point at Tagaytay
Ridge with its spectacular views of Taal Island, Lake Taal and Mount Macolod in the distance. From
the ridge we will ascend to the shores of the lake stopping
along the way to take pictures and enjoy the view.
At the lake you will board a
Filipino made motorised outrigger
and enjoy a 30 minute boat ride across the lake to the
village of Talisay on Volcano Island. Your local guide will
lead the trek up towards the rim along black sandy trails
with incredible views of the surrounding
lake and mountains, you will pass by volcanic steam vents
giving off a sulphuric odour before reaching the summit. The views of the Crater Lake
and surrounding area are breathtaking and worth every minute of the hike. Take in the incredible surroundings before returning to shore and catching
the boat back for a picnic lunch under palm trees on the water edge.

On your return to mainland, you will enjoy your
delicious packed picnic lunch in a traditional Cabana over looking the calm waters of Taal lake.
We encourage our guests to enjoy some of the
water sports
available at the Taal Yacht Club (at an additional cost).
After a relaxing picnic lunch we will make our way back to Manila -
if you would like to stop along the route to look at local
handicrafts or to buy fruit or flowers, your driver will be
happy to wait.
